How to clean cloudy glass vases after mother’s day? - House Cleaning Bothell

Mother’s day is a special occasion and most of the mothers do receive flowers, some are received in a vase and some in a bouquet form, if not handled properly they get wilt by the end of the day.

So keep them fresh for a few days we place them in a vase. After a few days we are left with dead flowers, murky water and hazy vases, which are really difficult to clean. House Cleaning Bothell has some tips on how to get these cloudy vases clean.

1.    Salt and vinegar

Whenever it comes to cleaning something vinegar is a hit, it can be used to clean almost anything. The combination of salt and vinegar is a hit when cleaning the vases, when they are at their worse. When house cleaning, in a bowl take ½ tsp of salt and pour in enough vinegar that it forms into a paste. Then use a toothbrush or any smaller detailer brush to apply this mixture on the inside and outside of the vase over the gunk, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Then use warm water from the tap to wash of the vase, after that use a clean microfiber cloth to dry and clean the vase.

2.   Denture tablet

When house cleaning, the denture tablet can work as a wonder when it comes to cleaning a cloudy vase. For this method, you need to fill your vase with warm water upto the point where the streaks or marks or gunk is found then drop in 2 to 3 denture tablets. Wait until they stop fizzing. During house cleaning, then pour out all the solution in the sink and then use a small detailer brush to scrub the vase properly. When house cleaning, after the scrubbing rinse out the vase with warm water, then use a dry microfiber cloth to dry and clean the vase.

3.   Narrow necks vases

When house cleaning, the most difficult part of cleaning is when it comes to cleaning a narrow neck vase. When it’s hard to reach down the narrow neck of the vase the trapped walk not only makes the vase hazy but also leaves an odor. During house cleaning, to clean such a vase, fill  ⅓ of the vase with warm water to that add a few drops of dish soap. Then add in 3-4 tbsp. Of vinegar in the vase depends on the size of the vase. After this add in 4-5 tbsp of uncooked rice in the vase, this too depends on the size of the vase. When house cleaning, shake the vase well, uncooked rice will act as scrubber and remove the haze off the vase. Let the vase sit for a while, keep on shaking in between. After this drain out the contents from the vase and wash it well with warm water and keep it tilted to remove all the water from the inside and to dry off the outer part use microfiber cloth.
